Practical IT help for small & growing businesses

I'm Carlos. I work with owners who need solid, unbiased guidance on networks, security, cloud, and day‑to‑day tech decisions—without paying agency or big‑firm rates. We keep what works, tighten what’s risky, and plan what’s next.

Professional IT Guidance Without the Enterprise Price Tag

Most small businesses can't afford dedicated IT staff or expensive consulting firms. That's where I come in. I provide the same level of expertise that large companies get, but at rates that make sense for small to medium businesses.

Core IT Consulting

  • Technology roadmap: Map where you are vs where you actually need to go (e.g. phasing out that noisy on‑prem file server for secure cloud storage—without breaking accounting shares).
  • Security & resilience check: Plain review of passwords, patching, backups, firewall, remote access (stop reused passwords, confirm backups actually restore).
  • Network & Wi‑Fi cleanup: Fix slow Wi‑Fi, daisy‑chained switches and dead spots that make Teams calls freeze or printers vanish Friday at 4 PM.
  • Everyday user friction: Shrink the backlog of “my Outlook won’t send,” “Teams won’t sync,” “laptop boots forever,” “printer offline again,” “keep resetting my password.”
  • Cloud adoption (only when it helps): Move email, shared files or a key line‑of‑business app in controlled steps—no rip‑and‑replace drama.
  • Vendor & tool decisions: Side‑by‑side comparisons with plain pros/cons (e.g. Microsoft 365 Business Premium vs stitching separate spam filter + backup + endpoint tools).
  • Cost & lifecycle planning: Simple sheet: what to replace when, rough cost, what can wait—avoids “five PCs die in Q4.”

Selective automation

If a repetitive task is chewing up hours, we can streamline it—no hype, just measurable savings:

  • Lightweight workflow scripts: Example: auto‑collect daily production logs into one sheet instead of staff emailing versions around.
  • System hand‑offs: Push new customer records from your form into a CRM or shared spreadsheet—zero retyping.
  • Targeted reporting: Pull key metrics (e.g. ticket volume, machine downtime entries) into a weekly summary without manual copy/paste.

About Carlos

I'm a Microsoft‑certified IT technician. Before starting this business I spent years inside company IT teams—handling the everyday grind: Office 365 and Teams not syncing for a user, a sales laptop taking 10 minutes to boot, printers dropping off the network right before invoicing, Wi‑Fi dead spots in a warehouse corner, or staff locked out after too many password resets. That hands‑on work shaped a practical style: fix what matters, prevent repeats, keep people moving.

I launched theCtechs to give smaller organizations the same calm, methodical help—without enterprise consulting prices or hype. You get plain answers on what to keep, what to fix, and what can wait. The aim is simple: fewer surprises, fewer outages, and technology that quietly does its job so your team can do theirs.
